I’m trying to understand how people would design their own discipline system if they had to build one from scratch.
Context: I’m exploring the idea of creating a personal, anonymous AI/system that helps with self-discipline — things like tracking habits, nudging behavior, and reinforcing consistency.
But instead of overengineering it, I want to understand how real people think first.
So I’m asking this as a genuine survey:
If YOU had to fix your own discipline using a system, how would you design it?
Some prompts to think about (answer any or all):
What’s your biggest discipline problem right now?
Would you prefer something simple (like reminders) or something more intelligent (like tracking patterns and giving insights)?
How do you currently track habits (if at all)?
What tools do you use? (Notes, apps, Excel, nothing, etc.)
Would you trust an AI/system to track your behavior if it was completely private?
What would make you actually stick to it long term?
Optional (if you’re technical):
What stack/tools would you use to build something like this?
I’m not selling anything — just trying to understand real behavior before building something.
Honest answers would help a lot.
