Well I guess everybody had a script kiddie phase but the thing is there is “some” “certain” people that flex real bad that they sound so funny, somewhere on the dark aisles of discord, I was in a server more of a gc its like 60 smthing ppl, I’m friends with most of them. Well this random guy started yapping abt cybersecurity I thought i met a fellow hobbyist he said he landed a deal with crowd strike (keep in mind he still in high-school I’m 16) ppl praised him but he did the stupid mistake of sending an screenshot of an email claiming to be employment (well it’s 99% ai generated and no company is mentioning the salary in the email) he said if he did well they will rise him from 10k to 50k per month (LMAO I CAN’T) I knew the catch but i went along with it I wanted to see how funny can it get and the shocking part like 20 ppl believed him. After that he sent a pic of his paypal business card (surprise surprise) ran a reverse image search it’s from threads. Ppl started praising him, he went crazier saying stuff like I have a team with tools that can hack governments. (I CRINGED), And told a girl he could hack her but he won’t (bro doesn’t kn what an RAT is)
I decided to intervene told him Heyyyy nice offer but what certificates do u have I’m tired of THM and hack the box what certificates do u recommend or labs ? He said the big 3 any skid would say (Harvard, google, Microsoft) not oscp, CEH, comptia. And he said ur a beginner if u train on thm. I said yeah (keep in mind I’m 0x6 on THM and close to 0x7) I kn not the best or highest but enough to be better than the “certificates” he has.
