It's not about what a company does, but how it affects your token budget

All the best influencers hate Anthropic right now, and for good reason.

They ruined everything, and they're worthy of every bit of hate they get.

Quick recap:

• They came out with this new subscription model
• People absolutely loved it
• But it's a really bad business deal for them unless they're getting people to use Claude Code
• And they didn't make this clear enough!
• Then they pushed back on people who were just using the subscription bypass to API pricing in other products
• Supposedly because "it's not sustainable for Anthropic as a business" if they didn't stop the bypass.

Like I said, deplorable.

And have you even seen Dario speak with reporters?

Like, he doesn't make eye contact, and he talks really fast.

I don't know. I just don't like him.

It's an absolute disgrace.

There's a bunch of rabid fanboys probably taking money from them, though, who ask dumb questions like this.

Hey, but wait a minute.

Isn't Anthropic the company that has been talking the most about AI safety and preparing people for what is coming since their start?

Aren't they the ones who just said in Davos that it's fucking stupid to be giving the best models and the best AI chips to China when no one else has the courage to say that?

Didn't they just push back on the Pentagon for using their tools as weaponry?

Aren't they risking billions upon billions of dollars in contracts and potentially their company by doing this?

Like I told you, it's super dumb.

Sure, they seem to be the most morally principled of the labs, and have been far more willing to show mistakes and sound the alarm on how disruptive AI is going to be.

But have you seen the other AI leaders talk? They're very smooth and good-looking, and they can make eye contact, and they're smiling all the time. Super pro. Very likeable.

And their models are way cheaper! Like half as expensive!

All Dario does is prattle on about how "You have to get ready for what's coming!", and, "Here's what we're doing to make this transition easier for humans.", and, "Hey government, you can't use our stuff for gross shit."

Nerdy, boring, and not cool-sounding.

And they're fucking with my MAX subscription?

And they have higher API prices?

Fuck them and their "trying to help the world survive AI" mission. I'm not Gandhi; I'm trying to build a SaaS app (URL below btw).

I want Anthropic's product at other companies' prices, and I want to be able to use it how I want to use it.

Anthropic owes me that.

So that's why I hate them and you should too.
