Hi,
i have a school project where i need to use ettercap to perform an icmp redirect attack however we weren't giving any indication how to do it nor how it should work.
Meaning it could be normal for it to not be working.
But i don't know if i'm doing something wrong.
I used ettercap -G, choosing the right target, typing the right GW, but nothing appear on wireshark , no redirect nothing . ( promiscuious is disabled, so that i'm sure it's working )
However if i'm doing an attack using ettercap on text mode, it does work .
I type ettercap -T -M icmp:MAC adress/ip
and icmp redirect a send in a loop, to both my GW and my victim when he tries to connect on a server.
I could use for help cause i'm really lost and i'm supposed to present it tomorrow.
