Welcome to the “Life in the Swimlane” blog series. Here we will feature interviews with Swimlaners to learn more about their experience. This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going.
My name is Pauline Bacot, and I am Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Swimlane. I am from Paris, France (oui oui baguette), but I’ve always loved to travel. I’ve lived in five different countries before the American dream—or perhaps just Karl the fog—brought me to San Francisco. There, I met my husband, also French (they’re everywhere, I swear), before moving to Colorado to be closer to the mountains. I am certainly not your typical Coloradoan, but I’ve developed an intense love for pickleball, and let’s be honest, it’s probably because I’m fitter than most eighty-year-olds.

I’ve been at Swimlane for three years now, and as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, my job is all about helping prospects understand what our platform can do. I build interactive demos, share real-life stories from customers, and ensure we’re clearly differentiated from the competition. At the end of the day, it’s about telling the right story to the right audience—at the right time.
What I like most about Swimlane is how genuine everyone is. There’s a real understanding that we’re human first, not just here to do a job. Well-being is valued, and you’re never just a number; people genuinely care and look out for each other.
What excites me most about my work is how the product is constantly evolving; there’s always something new to explore, which keeps the product marketing side fresh. I also enjoy speaking with customers. Hearing firsthand how the platform has made a real impact on their organization and productivity gives me a real sense of purpose.
When I’m not working, I’m usually enjoying life here in Colorado—whether it’s hiking, exploring the outdoors, or just taking in the beautiful scenery. I’m also really into pickleball, and I’m proud to say I’m the MVP of the office.
Let me tell you about karaoke at last year’s Sales Kick-Off. I started with the disclaimer, “It’s going to be terrible, I hope you enjoy it”. Then, I treated everyone to my interpretation ‘I Will Survive.’ For those who don’t know, it is the theme song of France’s 1998 World Cup win, which is essentially two minutes of pure ‘la la la la la’ and spirited jumping. It was legendary!
Bon appétit

I want to leave an impact by helping organizations truly understand the power of AI automation in cybersecurity. My goal is to challenge the status quo and show how security doesn’t have to be complex or siloed. By advocating for simpler, smarter solutions, I aim to facilitate greater security for teams while also promoting efficiency and collaboration across the entire industry.
Swimlane is a rapidly growing, innovative startup in the Denver metro area with a passionate team focused on improving the lives of security practitioners through security automation and orchestration. We’re always looking for dedicated, ambitious problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced work environment to join our team.
