Financial services firm Paysign said it is investigating reports of a data breach involving consumer information after hackers tried to sell a database allegedly belonging to the company containing millions of records.

“We are aware of the recent reports of an alleged data breach of Paysign consumer information. We are investigating the claim,” the company said in a statement to Recorded Future News.

“We take the security of our customers’ information very seriously. There has been no disruption to our services, and Paysign cardholders may continue to use their accounts.”

The company, which is listed on the Nasdaq, declined to answer further questions about whether they suffered from a security incident and when.

Paysign brought in a revenue of about $12 million last quarter through its prepaid card programs, payment processing systems and digital banking services. Last June, the company announced a deal with Mastercard that would see the two companies collaborate on product development and more.
