Recently, a problem was discovered with R3trans in kernel release 7.54 that may lead to data corruption in a variety of SAP tables, such as DOKHL or DOKTL. The problem has been documented and fixed with SAP Note 3348320, but data that has already been corrupted remains corrupted. As of today, the most current stack kernel patch level 200 for release 7.54 does not contain the fix, so it is important that you download and install the latest R3trans patch before performing any operation that involves transport requests, such as support package installation or SAP upgrades.
Please see SAP Note 3348320 for further details around the problem and for instructions how to check and verify your R3trans level. Customers with SAP kernel releases prior to 7.54 are not affected by this issue. If you have questions about this topic, please open a case at SAP and reference SAP Note 3348320.
