2378962 – SAP HANA 2.0 Revision and Maintenance Strategy 

Check whether there are any dependencies on your OS version as HANA SPS is dependent upon the OS version

As a pre requisite upgrade the host agent to the latest level

Perform the HANA DB complete backup

Download the latest software and extract the latest software using the script hdblcm_prepare.sh    and not with SAPCAR script as you signature.xmf file will be of 0kb.(if you extract using      hdblcm_prepare.sh command then you can run ./hdblcm directly for the upgrade.If you use SAPCAR command for extraction then you need to run the ./hdblcm command with additional ignore checks)

Execution of HANA SPS upgrade

Check for any dependency OS level zypper packages and install the dependency packages.

Installing Zypper package

Trigger hdblcm

Upgrade is completed and verify using HDB version
