According to DSAG’s latest investment report 2022, the number of companies using modern SAP S/4HANA is steadily increasing. The report shows that the percentage of customers and partners who use SAP S/4HANA productively has doubled compared to the previous year. 

Not surprising, since the end of support is gradually getting closer and at the same time almost all new functions and connections are being delivered with a clear focus on SAP S/4HANA. An important part of this is the analytical component: SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics  

In short, this is a technology that moves mainly on two levels architecturally. So-called ABAP CDS Views are used as the central objects, which are delivered on the basis of the module-specific SAP S/4HANA tables (e.g. ACDOCA) or can be built independently. Corresponding SQL views on the SAP HANA database are used one level down in order to implement the performance-supporting push-down effect. The ABAP Development Tool (ABAP Eclipse) is used for modelling. Alternatively, simpler objects can also be created graphically using the delivered SAP Fiori tools (e.g. Custom CDS View, Analytical Queries).
