I would love to share with you some of the key insights and experiences from the SAP ALM Summit EMEA 2023 in Mannheim that took place October 10^th to 13^th.

The event, themed “Energize your ALM transformation!”, was all about Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), an important aspect of software development. I found it a great opportunity to share and gain knowledge about the transformation of ALM processes.

One of the headline stories focused on SAP Cloud ALM and its success. In this context, Marc Thier shared the information that SAP Cloud ALM has captured the interest of many, now serving an impressive 4,000 customers, and gaining around 8 new customers every single day. This shows how SAP Cloud ALM is fulfilling a significant market demand and offering great value to its users.

A key idea that was highlighted at the summit was the ‘One Suite’ approach. This model encourages combining different tools like LeanIX, SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP Enable Now for a more integrated workflow. The interaction of these tools aims to simplify tasks and boosts efficiency in the realm of ALM.

Furthermore, the concepts of “One Methodology” and “One Process” were brought to the front. These principles argue for a standard and unified approach in managing application lifecycle. It was discussed how tools like LeanIX and SAP Signavio could be used to develop a strategy which can then be turned into an action plan with SAP Cloud ALM.

All in all, the SAP ALM Summit EMEA 2023 was filled with exciting new insights and developments. We are seeing an interesting shift towards integrated and streamlined ways of working in ALM, led by tools like SAP Cloud ALM. I am eager to see what future progress will be made in this area.
