The Second Half 2023 Release delivers many exciting innovations and enhancements within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. These capabilities are designed to improve user experiences and streamline operations, helping ignite the potential in your workforce. Here is a quick snapshot of what you can expect to see in this release:
Quick Actions
We are excited to introduce SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central quick actions, which help simplify manager and employee self-services. From the home page, employees can quickly complete common HR tasks, such as updating their chosen name and personal pronouns, while managers can initiate a transfer, promotion, location change, and more. We are also embedding these quick actions in the flow of work, such as within Microsoft Teams, SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone, and Joule, our AI-powered copilot, so users can complete critical HR tasks directly within the applications they are already using. Workflow Delegation by Group
We are introducing the ability to more flexibly define workflow delegations. Users can now specify delegates for different types of workflow groups. For example, a manager can auto-delegate time off or timesheet workflows to a team assistant, while promotion approvals can be delegated to an upper-level manager.

Configurable Compensation Structure
To further meet the unique requirements of different workforces and locations, we are introducing a new configurable compensation structure within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. In this initial release, customers can define the sort order of pay components in the compensation information block of the people profile as well as decide, according to the compensation structure, whether compa ratios and pay ranges should be prorated based on FTE or a newly introduced proration factor. Additionally, customers can prevent the deletion of mandatory pay components and can define the allowed pay components that can be selected for an employee.
Cross-System Workflow
The cross-system workflow capability is now generally available in this release. By leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform, customers can more seamlessly connect data and processes across platforms. Customers can rapidly unlock the value of human experience management with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, while maintaining on-premise applications, such as time, payroll, and benefits. This allows for a progressive move to the cloud and helps ensure customers can migrate at their own pace.
