SAP Mobile Day Chicago – hosted by SAP’s Mobile Experience and Engineering team – united SAP customers, partners, and industry experts to build relationships and share knowledge around modern enterprise mobility at scale.
SAP Mobile Day Chicago was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse and passionate part of the SAP community from across North America. The event provided attendees with invaluable insights into the transformative power of enterprise mobility and SAP’s cutting-edge mobile technologies.
”You get all of these people who’ve had various successes and failures, and you get to hear about how they are doing with mobility and SAP. Seeing the technologies come together, that was probably the highlight for me.” said Gerry Mecca from The EKG group when reflecting on the event’s collaborative atmosphere.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and SAP experts, gaining a deeper understanding of how mobile strategies can empower businesses in today’s fast-paced and digitally-driven world. The event featured engaging presentations and discussions from notable speakers, including SAP, Apple, Freeport-McMoRan, Trifork, Great Lakes Cheese, and Jamf.
Laura Musgrove, Manager of Global Business Solutions (for Operations) at Freeport-McMoRan, shared her company’s experience with SAP Service and Asset Manager: “We had a lot of paper-based processes, so we wanted to bring some automation and digitization to those processes. When you have a mobile app, it allows supervisors and technicians to be closer to where their work is in the field.”
The event attracted dozens of SAP customers and partners from various industries, providing a rich opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing. Attendees were treated to impressive application demonstrations that showcased the potential of SAP solutions, such as SAP Mobile Start and SAP Service and Asset Manager, in driving business success and innovation.
“For me, it’s realizing that, while I’m focused very much on HR, there is so much more that we could be doing. We are an SAP shop and we can expand so much to other spaces within the mobile platform, and that is something that I’m looking forward to taking back.” Said Brian Shellhorn, HR Information Systems Manager at Great Lakes Cheese.
The focus of SAP Mobile Day Chicago 2023 was on educating attendees about creating successful mobile strategies, including application development, device management, security, and more. SAP’s mobile development technologies, including the software development kits (SDK), design systems, and more, were showcased as powerful tools that help customers build, deploy, and run a suite of SAP applications and custom applications. These technologies are instrumental in supporting customers to enhance workforce efficiency, bolster supply chain resilience, and improve financial health.
Kat Garbis, Senior Channel Program Manager at Jamf, highlighted the breadth of SAP’s mobile technologies and applications, stating, “The highlight for me was seeing how the same technology is used in so many different ways…There are also a lot of really great minds here, so just connecting with people who are eager to learn is really wonderful to be a part of.”
SAP Mobile Day continues to be a flagship event in the world of enterprise mobility, fostering connections, and fostering innovation among industry leaders. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, SAP remains at the forefront, equipping businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive.
