SAP Cloud Integration for data services supports SAP IBP to SAP IBP Integration. Starting with release 2209, using SAP IBP as source and target in the same dataflow is supported. This functionality is supported only for WebSocket RFC IBP datastore connections. To take advantage of this SAP IBP to SAP IBP functionality, we strongly recommend that you migrate your connection type to WebSocket RFC if you have not done so already.
For more information on switching from JDBC to Websocket RFC connection, refer to SAP IBP help documentation: Switching from JDBC to WebSocket RFC Connection
You will need the latest agent installed on-premise or on a VM machine in the cloud infrastructure. If you prefer to use an older version, it must be a version that was released within one year of the most recent release. SAP IBP WebSocket RFC connection to SAP IBP is established through the SAP Cloud Integration for data services agent.
For more information on SAP IBP datastore configuration parameters refer to SAP Help Documentation : SAP Integrated Business Planning via WebSocket RFC

Some common uses cases where SAP IBP can be used as both source and target with SAP Cloud Integration for data services.

SAP IBP also supports copy operators that allows copying master data and key figure data. If your usecase is to copy the key figure or master data within a planning area or between two planning areas in the same IBP system and doesn’t need any complex transformation, you can use SAP IBP copy operators.
For more information on SAP IBP copy operators , refer to SAP IBP help documentation- Copying Data – Copy Operators
For the use cases that involve complex transformation and/or copying the master and key figure data between different IBP systems (e.g. Production to Development/Test), use SAP Cloud integration for data services for SAP IBP to SAP IBP integration.
